High School Projects

Here are some of the most fun projects I worked on in my senior year of high school. These motivated me to pursue design as a career because of the ability to ideate and physically produce it. First is a chair we had to design for the preschool class. My partner and I created a safe rocking chair with no need for screws... and the preschoolers thought it was boring. We all need to learn how to take critique at some point I guess.

The second project was to make anything using Fusion 360 or welding. I chose Fusion and designed a bass body that I then sent to our CNC router for cutting. Then I sanded the belly cut by hand in my garage. I also made a test model and broke a CNC bit because I programmed the cuts in the wrong order. My teacher let me keep the broken bit as a souvenir.

This was my favorite graphics project in high school. I really love the band Rise Against cause they are from Chicago. I designed and silk screened these two shirts. At my graduation I was actually able to meet the lead singer of the band because his daughter graduated in my class. I showed him the designs and said that they should sell those in their merch stands.
